The Race to the Top of Masada, up the snake path
Let’s warm up in this unique extreme race up the snake path to Masada’s top, on Friday 7th Feb. The route consists of 2.5km of hard and soft dirt road, rocky paths and 750 steep stone steps to Masada’s top. 300 meters of extremely intense ascent.
We are happy to host you for a weekend full of activities, from the preparation for the race to the festive pasta meal and much more.
31 years of persistence and determination, almost the same as those required in long-distance running. This persistence and determination belongs to the Ron family, to the region's residents, to the members of Kibbutz Ein-Gedi and to the employees of the council.
The power and energy sources are annually derived from the great love for Giora and Tomer, who considered running as a challenge and a spiritual completion for their beautiful souls. Each runner has his own reasons for participating in the race: some like the huge number of participants; others step up for the challenge of the effort, and many run for mental and physical health. Yet, all of the above have one thing in common- enjoyment of the activity.
We hope that this year, we all will enjoy once again a high quality race, along with challenges and sportsmanship, together and individually.
